According to the National Beer Wholesalers Association , American beer sales peak the week of the Fourth of July. This surely comes as no surprise to those accustomed to pairing cookout hot dogs with ice-cold beer by the can or keg.
It does, however, raise questions about our collective drinking and spending habits. Do most Americans drink beer at home on certain occasions, like Super Bowl Sunday? What about long weekends?
